Lexia welcomes four new partners – a strategic commitment to growth
January 13, 2026
Lexia Attorneys has appointed four new partners from within the firm. Combining top-tier legal expertise with a deep understanding of business, Lexia is now strengthening its ties with specialists in mergers and acquisitions as well as dispute resolution.
All four new partners are long-standing members of Lexia, each bringing extensive experience and a broad skill set.
Hanna Huttunen assists clients with contract drafting, compliance and regulatory matters, corporate transactions and dispute resolution. In corporate restructuring, her area of expertise includes stock exchange listing projects. Huttunen has contributed to the implementation of Lexia’s continuous service model and currently leads the financial sector regulatory practice, also serving in a managerial role.
Olli Kotila specialises in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate law, funding rounds and other demanding contractual and commercial matters. Kotila also works on legal matters of listed companies, emphasising proactive risk management and developing solutions that support business operations.
Kenneth Svartström and Saku Knuuti are experts in dispute resolution and litigation. Svartström has over 20 years of experience in corporate disputes, particularly project deliveries and international cases. Knuuti focuses especially on corporate law and, together with Svartström, leads Lexia’s dispute resolution practice.
Building for growth
Lexia has always been based on the principal that success is achieved together.
Partnership at Lexia means, above all, responsibility for clients, colleagues and the ongoing development of the firm. Each of the newly appointed partners has contributed to the firm’s successful growth.
“Becoming a partner was a natural continuum in my career. I am motivated by the opportunity to influence both the strategic development of the firm and the future of Finnish business law,” says Kotila.
Huttunen highlights the importance of building long-term client relationships and the opportunity to develop teamwork with skilled colleagues. “For me, partnership means responsibility in everyday decision-making, but also the permission to challenge and improve our ways of working for the benefit of our clients’ businesses,” she notes.
Svartström and Knuuti view partnership primarily as a means to retain talented professionals and as an opportunity to meaningfully influence Lexia’s growth. For example, their specialisation area, dispute resolution, has grown significantly in recent years.
“When I joined Lexia six years ago, I quickly realised that partnership was the direction I wanted to pursue,” Knuuti shares.
The recent partner appointments are a clear message that Lexia wants to make room for new talents.
Partnership in Lexia is not just recognition of good legal work – it is a promise for the future. The skills, insights and experiences of our new partners strengthen our firm and take us towards the next phase of growth.
Going forward, the firm will focus even more on client centricity, technological advancement and the seamless integration of service offerings.
Technology benefits legal professionals
In the Finnish legal sector, Lexia stands out as a forward-looking, innovative player, combining top legal expertise with a business-oriented approach.
“What sets us apart from our competitors is not just our expertise, but our attitude. We are flexible, solution-oriented and approachable, working closely with our clients,” Kotila analyses.
Lexia is not a traditional hierarchical law firm. Openness, agility and the utilisation of new technology are at the core of its operations. The firm has invested consistently in new legal tech and is now seeking tangible benefits from artificial intelligence to streamline routine legal work.
“Technological developments – such as artificial intelligence and process automation – enhance the work of lawyers and free up time for analytical thinking, strategic sparring and tasks that genuinely add value for clients. I believe that successful firms are those that can combine legal expertise, data and modern tools for the benefit of the client,” Kotila says.
The importance of a good work community
All four partners praise Lexia’s working atmosphere. Svartström emphasises the supportive work community, which is one of Lexia’s key strengths.
The team is exceptionally skilled and people-centric, and everyone has the opportunity to grow and make an impact. Partnership is not just a personal achievement, but also a testament to Lexia’s culture of supporting continuous development and shared responsibility.
Collaboration is also practised outside of work. Huttunen competes in ultimate frisbee at the Finnish championship level and draws on insights from the sport to foster teamwork and build trust. Physical activity is equally important for Kotila and Knuuti in their free time. Svartström, meanwhile, recharges through his passion for music – his guitar skills range from traditional dance music to heavy metal.
