I work as a Counsel in Lexia’s Financial Services and Fintech practices. I possess a background in financial sector, where I accumulated seven years of experience in diverse legal and business roles with various operators. I’ve additionally supported clients (in the role of a lawyer) at a law firm for a total of five years.
I have extensive experience in legal roles across various areas of the financial sector. I have worked as an in-house lawyer in the financial sector in various roles, with a particular focus on providing legal support for wealth management. Financial services and products, organization of activities, and regulatory requirements are areas I am well acquainted with, especially from an investment services and investment business perspective. I have a broad understanding of capital markets regulation, and I am familiar with the various legal issues in securities markets from the perspective of a wide range of actors and instruments. Furthermore, I have strong expertise and experience in the regulation and implementation of crowdfunding service providers. I am also familiar with the regulation of virtual currencies and providers of virtual currencies, both from the perspective of existing regulations and the new MiCA regulation.
In addition to the above, I possess a strong understanding of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations, along with expertise in implementing them in the operations of reporting entities. I am accustomed to assisting our clients in conducting AML risk assessment, drafting AML principles and procedures. In AML matters, I assist both financial sector operators and other entities obligated to report under the Act on Preventing Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.
My expertise in compliance is strong, and I act as an outsourced Compliance Officer for several different financial sector operators as part of continuous compliance service, provided by our team.
