Meritas, a global alliance of independent, full-service law firms, has elected Olli Kiuru to its Board of Directors. At the same time he was also elected to the Member Committee responsible for recruiting new members.  

Lexia Partner and Attorney Olli Kiuru was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Meritas alliance at its annual conference in May for the next three-year term. The Board’s task is to help the alliance make strategically correct choices in the constantly evolving global competitive arena and to continuously enhance the client experience particularly in assignments crossing national borders.

The Meritas alliance includes about 8,000 lawyers in 182 law firms in some 100 countries around the world. Meritas is recognized for its global coverage and for its special quality control process that separates it from other, similar global networks. Lexia has been Meritas’ Finnish representative since 2016.

“Meritas is a new age alliance. Markets are evolving and naturally digitalization brings its own challenges. Meritas is ready to respond to changes by renewing and learning. In my role I want to draw attention particularly to customer-orientation and new service models. We are clearly ahead of the alliance’s other member countries in, e.g., the offering of comprehensive service packages, marketing and digitalization, so I believe I have a lot to offer,” says Olli Kiuru.

Olli Kiuru has been a partner at Lexia since 2011 and is responsible for Lexia’s international relations at the Board level. As a member of Lexia’s Board, Kiuru is involved in strategic planning particularly in the global arena and ensures the realization of Meritas’ rigorous quality standards at Lexia.
