Iikka Sainio, Attorney-at-Law, trained on the bench, has made a successful career assisting companies in issues related to corporate law, particularly in the technology, media and capital investment sectors. Iikka has experience in throughput of broad software projects, in negotiating domestic and international software and technology licenses and handling the related dispute processes, in the procurement of IT systems, in research and product development activities, and in advising capital investors.

At Lexia, Iikka will focus on agreement and IPR issues as well as development of service and innovation activities related to the practicing of law. Iikka will also provide Lexia’s clients with expert advice on issues related to capital investments and in IPR- and ICT-intensive transactions. In addition to our Helsinki office, Iikka also will work in Tampere.

As one of Finland’s fastest growing legal firms, Lexia encourages creative thinking and the development of service models and digital solutions that promote clients’ business operations. In fact, Iikka praises the attitude and readiness of Lexia employees to be in the vanguard in developing law practices together with clients and personnel.

“Productive innovation activities require an open and enthusiastic atmosphere. Lexia employees have not sat on the sidelines watching the advancement of digitalization and customer centricity; they are participating in creating new solutions and business models for the sector. I feel I have come to precisely the right place, because my experience will enable me to advance the business of Lexia and of its clients to even a steeper rise,” Iikka says.

Solutions that increase business value are not pursued only for clients; Iikka will also participate in Lexia’s internal development.

“Legal services do not develop if we settle for just solving problems. An innovative lawyer is able to anticipate, to question, and to utilize opportunities, and has the courage to try new things. Iikka and I have a shared view of the future, so it was easy to find common ground. It is an honor to welcome Iikka to Lexia to help us build a law firm of the future,” says Lexia’s Managing Director Samuli Koskela.
